I was sooooo impressed. I have an iPad 7 that I paid $100 for a compatible pencil for. He died 2+ years later. I didn't have the money to replace it so I bought it for about $35. I doubted it, but I really missed my other pen! Anyway, it was loaded right out of the box. No pairing required, the tip is smaller than that of the iPen and very sensitive! I don't have to tap multiple times to transfer paint when creating one of my paint apps! What I like best is that it says 8 to 11 hours of charging, but I can also turn it off when I'm not using it! When the pen is on, there is a very small blue light on the side of the pen that will blink when the battery is low! It's only guaranteed for one year, but even then it's cheaper than buying a $100 pen every two years! I am very happy with this pen and would recommend it. PS My iPad case has a special place for a pen inside and this one fits perfectly! . just an update! After using this pen for almost a year, not only does it still work perfectly, but I plan to buy another one when I need to replace this one. One change that has taken place in the last week or so is that I usually charge the pen every other night, now I have to do it every night. However, the quality of the pan remains the same as always. I noticed that a few reviewers complained about the stylus being left out. That happens sometimes, but the same thing happened with my very expensive Apple Pen. I just start from the line or dot I make and everything works fine. I would like to add that this does not happen very often. I noticed that there isn't a color choice that I didn't have last year, but that just adds to the value for me. I plan to try pink. I hope those of you who buy it will enjoy it as much as I did.
