Review on Stay Cozy with Steve Madden's X Large Women's Clothing Collection: Coats, Jackets & Vests by Rebecca Carey

I ordered this green coat from ModCloth 3 years ago. A few buttons were a bit loose so I sewed them on tighter and the fabric was prone to pilling, but overall I liked the coat. I've never had so many compliments on this green coat. It still looks good and I haven't had any major issues with it. However, my height has changed in the last 3 years, so I wanted to order a coat in a different size. ModCloth no longer sells it so imagine my delight to find it on Revain! They don't have green, but that's ok. I ordered it in navy and knew it would be a great coat. I don't know what the difference is between ModCloth stock and Revain stock but wow this new coat of Revain is falling apart! It took me a little over 2 weeks. I've worn it ten times to work or to the store. All 4 buttons were open upon arrival, one had already fallen off! - and it was necessary to sew more tightly, but I expected this, so at first I wasn't particularly worried. But then two belt loops came loose from the coat; I also had to sew them back on (see photo: one is reattached, the other is still detached). And while sewing them on at the back, I noticed huge holes in the two back seams of this coat, as well as a hole in the sleeve lining seam (sleeve lining in the photo). This was a pretty easy fix for someone who knows how to sew, but I wouldn't have to re-sew the entire coat within 2 weeks of buying it! I have never left a negative review on a Revain product before but I want people to know how poor the quality compares to the same coat bought 3 years ago. It's a nice coat, but you'll have to sew some of it on. Buyer warning!
