I used this cable as a backup for my BMPCC4k which writes to Samsung T5 drives. It works as expected. I haven't experienced dropped frames even when shooting at 60 fps. I'm sure if you have a drive and computer that supports 10Gbps, you can get that speed with this cable. Besides using it on my BMPCC4K I've also used it on my keyboard, it's also a USB hub and works great. Whichever hard drive I plug in, I have the same read/write speeds as if I plugged it directly into my Mac Mini M1. From the keyboard, I connected another USB-C cable to another USB-C hub and the speed didn't change either.
