This is a crimp connector for use with heavier gauge 23 gauge Cat 6a wire to wires used in Cat 6a. The shell was tight and it took some time to convince the wires to line up through the staggered holes. It's not the fault of the connector, it's a consequence of the thicker wiring in the standard RJ-45 form factor. I had a successful crimp on the first try, even with an older no-go crimp tool. Dremel and a steady hand cut the wires flush with the connector. Not for the faint hearted! I recommend going through a crimping tool that cuts the wires.
