Review on Christopher Knight Home 299933 Firwood by Amy Blackmon

I bought these for my kitchen and as other reviewers have noted the wood is definitely a bit rough. Mine aren't rough enough to give anyone shards, but I can see how the wood can snag on some silky fabrics. Otherwise they are comfortable, stable and beautiful. I put them together with a socket wrench in about 2 minutes each. I'm disappointed that two of the 4 stool legs either didn't come with the footpads or the pads are broken, but I'm glad they gave me a replacement plastic footrest for every stool I bought. The only downside was the packaging. While it was easy enough just taking them out of the box-in-the-box and unwrapping the bubble wrap, all of the inner boxes had those silica gel bags that exploded somewhere during shipping. The little beads ended up in bubble wrap, and when I took the chairs out of the box, there were millions of these silly little things scattered around my house. I've swept and vacuumed twice and still find those things swirling around.
