This is a great brand and product. If your skin is not used to the active ingredients, it will burn, this is a chemical peel. Educate yourself about chemical peels before using them. My skin is very resistant to acids, I use a lot of them and I can apply several layers if I'm doing a spot treatment. Glycolic acid also increases cell turnover and if your skin is unfamiliar with it you may experience a clearing or trigger a breakout that you should already be having, this will only speed it up. Research the products again before using them. I wish they had the percentage of glycolic acid and salicylic acid, that's the only thing I would change about this serum. I use other types of Shea Moisture serums and they don't have a seal or box in the store. Maybe it's negligence on their part, but that doesn't mean it's fake. Usually they don't make cheap fakes. This isn't a $60 serum worth faking, it's also only $10 at the drugstore. It took about 3 uses over 3 days to clear my pimples and improve my clogged pores, but it worked. I read these reviews and I have to say NOTHING for $10 will fix your skin overnight. Skincare requires you to be consistent, patient and comfortable with the products you use. I love this product and will buy it again.
