Thick plastic but leaks and tears easily
The plastic these bags are made of is definitely thicker than regular freezer bags and the zippers hold together well when closed but most bags leak at both ends of the zipper, no matter how carefully you close them, and the seams tear easily when you pinch them when full. When you fill them with liquid, it drips from the ends of the zipper; Squeezing one in your hand or putting something on top of a full bag can cause a mess when the side seam comes undone. hike.
