The bottom gets overheated and the top barely melts

It was easy to assemble, clean, etc. It's as basic as can be in terms of functionality, but my melted chocolate, which I've used on the stove a lot, was too warm and burnt at the bottom, and the top was too thick to sink easily into the chocolate. You have to shovel properly, and depending on what it was, the food broke or fell off the forks. Not impressed but very easy to use.
