Review on πŸ”’ Cardinal Gates Outdoor Pet Safety Netting for Decks – Black by Karrie Murphy

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Ideal for house/apartment cats!

Easy installation with zippers. Continuous. Unobtrusive appearance. I used a construction stapler to fasten the edges to the wood studs to fill in the gaps between the railing and the outside wall (see attached image). I wanted my nouveau to go outside with me for some fresh air. But he jumped off the patio three times (just 4.5 feet off the ground). He is strictly an indoor cat and is so easily startled by sudden noises or movements that he can't just jump off like that! I don't think he understands how big it is! lol! I decided to try this safety net and it works great! He noticed two small holes, 4" x 4", which I hadn't plugged, but they were filled with potted plants, and he lost interest in that search. He hasn't tried to climb it either, but sometimes he thinks about it. He can't rip it open with his claws, although I clip them, and he's tried unsuccessfully to bite and tear at the edges. He is very durable! So I can finally enjoy sitting outside with my furry toddler without seeing if he's about to run off chasing a bird or squirrel. And he loves to be outside! I also have a "fairy net" screen over my patio door so he can easily walk in if he's scared. GOT IT!

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Piggy bank price
