I actually bought it for my husband who is battling cancer and also losing his sight due to diabetes, but I think he might not use it that way often he would like cuz i will use it lol. I'm a 53-year-old great-grandmother who loves to play with our new Samsung Gear VR, but I'm new to the world of virtual reality and any type of gaming in general, so I'm just learning the basics. When I first used it, I sat on the bed and almost fell off. I slammed my hand against the wall behind me and managed to knock everything off my bedside table while trying to point to an object I wanted while trying to learn how to do hand gestures using virtual reality and a Samsung -Hand controller controls that I bought with it. I also went to the Face Your Fears app which is really cool (I didn't buy the app, I just downloaded the free part of it and tinkered around a bit). But anyway, in this app I walked through the door of Stranger Things and after a few minutes I ended up on the second one shown there and I had to take off my headset because that second story was giving me a headache. how it was filmed. Nausea set in shortly after the headache started, so I already knew there were going to be some things I needed to stay away from. I haven't seen the film on Netflix yet, but I'm looking forward to trying it out in the near future. I've read that some people have complained about the "black screen of death" I've experienced a few times myself, but mine was easily fixed by either reconfiguring my headgear so that the sensor in the mask detects it that she's still on her face so he can exit pause mode and start playing either by reaching forward in VR and gently tapping my phone. Personally, I hate fiddling with my phone's settings, so I installed an app called No Screen Off, which has an icon on Google Play that looks like a blue wall switch. Before you start using VR, just tap the app and your phone's screen won't turn off, and when you're done using VR, just tap the no screen off icon again and everything will turn off back to normal. I'm still trying to figure everything out because I've only had it for a few days, but if I run into any other issues and how I solve them I'll post an update. I've really enjoyed my VR so far and I recommend it. The part of the USB port that fits your phone in the hat will slip off because mine did it the first time I tried to put my phone in properly and I was like, 'Oh great, I did already broke it like i had a chance to use it but everything was fine and it just fitted together. It took me a while to figure out how to connect my phone and get it seated properly because I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 and it uses the B section of the headlock lock device, but I must have missed a part in the manual have and in internet that said you have to press on a small tab in this area to slide it forward for the phone to snap into place.
