I bought this toe ring in 2019 and started using it on the second toe of the right foot. Shortly after wearing it, I developed a skin reaction like nickel. It says it's nickel free and hypoallergenic, but I'm not sure. I took it off expecting it to clear up quickly as it usually does, but it didn't. This went on for several months. I'm not directly related to that ring but since then I've had horrible rashes on that toe right where the ring was. I've been to three doctors about this and they were all baffled even when they did a biopsy that showed a negative result for some pathology. I've tried treatments with steroids, antifungals, itch medication, etc. I was recently told by a doctor that this could be a rare type of eczema, often caused by nickel in jewelry, causing recurring episodes in the same location as the original one. Reaction. If you have a nickel sensitivity, be careful with this ring. I don't wish this pain on anyone.
