A big tree for a little kitten to grow up

I've been studying scratching posts for a couple of weeks and this lovely tree has been in use. When it came to the lightning deal I bought this for my very small kitten who is very active. He arrived in a few days. Based on previous reviews I expected the box to be very heavy but I was able to carry it home with no problems and that tells me a lot. I had some difficulties building the tree, but it had nothing to do with the instructions for the tree itself. It has more to do with the person harvesting the tree. The best way to assemble this tree is to lay out all the pieces, making sure to place each of the poles in separate piles. One pole is similar in length to the others, so make sure you put them on a separate stack so you have the right length poles when it comes time to assemble them. right so you can see which is which as the length of one of the posts is very close to the others. This didn't work for me and it came out "short" so make sure you lay out all your parts and compare them to the manual so you don't make the same mistake I made when reassembling. While building the tree, my cat continued to play on it and was very helpful. After all, now she just enjoys sleeping in a tree. We have yet to figure out how to get them to use it as a scratching post and playground instead of walls. But her sleep looks very comfortable. She likes baskets that hang down the side. As long as you tighten the stakes, they are very reliable. I put blankets in two small units as they are very spacious. So if you have larger cats, they will love these small, secluded spaces. But for now our kitty is lost there and feels safer with blankets. Balls with bells can be used and it's nice that they're on an elastic cord so they have a sort of elastic cord like movement when they're being used heavily. The only downside is that the hammock on the bottom isn't deep enough even for our little kitten. She fiddles with the strings holding it in place, but she can't fit in. Overall this is a great scratching post and is very durable and stable even when not attached to the wall. It comes with a few extra screws in case you need them later. All fabrics are durable. The rope is also very reliable. Nicely done. I hope this tree lasts into adulthood but if it just saves my walls for the next six months I'll be a very happy buyer.
