Review on Benfei 4K DisplayPort to HDMI Cable - ๐ฅ๏ธ 6 Feet Gold-Plated Cord for Lenovo, Dell, HP, ASUS by Nathan Jones
Never worked from HDMI to DP.
This cable is designed to connect two laptops to the same monitor (obviously at different times) via the HDMI and DP monitor inputs. For some reason HDMI to DP conversion doesn't work but DP to HDMI conversion works. Tried both HDMI outputs of the laptop to DP input of different monitors with this cable, but none of the monitors recognized the DP signal coming to them. I have tried automatic detection as well as manual configuration of monitors. The DP input was never recognized. Ironically, the laptop's DP outputs worked well with the monitor's HDMI input. I expected the conversion to work both ways. Maybe I misunderstood his abilities. Luckily it was only $10.
