Great little microphone

The microphone easily attaches to my camera. I liked that it included a spare camera mount (red part) as I've heard people break it for similar looking mics. This one was attached to the red bracket so there was no problem and I have a spare. The red part is quite flexible which has both advantages and disadvantages as the mic can move a bit and doesn't stress that part, but the downside is that the mic can move. In terms of mic sound, there was good improvement at about 3 feet away and significant improvement up close. The sound is cleaner than a mic cam, making it a welcome little increase in value. There are various cables that you can use to connect your camera to a standard audio port or a TRRS port like some iPhones. The microphone does not require batteries, so checking the batteries before each use is not a problem. There seems to be a downside to this as the mic doesn't really have the performance boost that batteries would. under all conditions. The microphone can be sensitive to light winds, so don't forget the windscreen if there's a breeze. I definitely recommend it as a cheap alternative to the similar Rode microphone.
