In my search for a good poached egg I've tried many approaches. This gave an excellent result - my personal record. I strained the egg through a fine sieve to get rid of the watery protein (the egg was older). I then threw it in the oxo poacher with slow boiling water. Then I pulled it out after 3 minutes.
