I needed a small ironing board for a small space in the sewing shop, something other than the family ironing board elsewhere. This is fully compliant. The mechanism for raising the ironing board to the desired height is smooth and simple. The cover is thick enough for small jobs, although I occasionally drape a towel over it when I feel I need something thicker. It works well. Overall a good buy for what I need. Recommended for small spaces and for convenience when you don't need to take out a regular sized board.
