Review on 🔦 Hunter 28129 4-Light Straight Arm Fitter - White by Renea Lay

I always have a hard time deciding where to start a thorough review. This time I'll start with the negative. Revane delayed the package for the first time. I expected a delay due to the weather, but no more than 5 days after the delivery date. I bought it on February 16th and it didn't arrive at my door until March 3rd, which means a difference of 15 days. I had a transient light so I didn't get too excited about it. The size didn't quite fit. The diameter of the lighting kit is slightly smaller than the diameter of my fan it is attached to, but it's better than having a larger lighting kit. The white color doesn't quite match the white color of the fan. It's bright white in the photos, but it looks a little creamier to me, if that makes sense. Despite all this, this is the first repaired/returned item I've ordered from Revain and I have to say I'm impressed. I knew Revain had a great returns policy so I figured it was worth the risk. I installed it on this fan http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0014A2O3G/. As an electrician I can say that the installation was very easy. I removed the clip holding the controls, routed the lighting wires through the hole, screwed the threaded connector into the fan control section, then connected the wires marked for the lighting kit to the wires on the lighting kit, and reattached the whole thing to the control box. Fan. However, not all fans are created equal and I was expecting problems since this was made for a different fan model. My experience could easily be that of a non-electrician, but your miles may vary. I was also impressed with the addition of 4 CFL bulbs in the kit. The boxes say they're warm, but they're actually blindingly bright, which I prefer. As I get closer to the glass, some of that light is diffused and attenuated, but 40 watt bulbs seem brighter to me than 60 watt bulbs in terms of the intensity they emit.
