Quality materials and construction. Repairs pants. This is much more convenient than tucking the seat of your pants into boots or wearing two pairs of socks. I bought them for hiking (ticks are dangerous in this part of the country) but have found them useful for many other outdoor activities such as biking, fishing, hunting. I'm glad to see they are made in the USA!
