This fan is perfect for our Florida hurricane season as well as all of our other frequent storms. The fan is housed in a robust plastic housing with a long cable. Best of all, it's battery operated and lasted over two days! If necessary, we also bring it to the porch. It's compact enough and quiet enough to work well in the bedroom. We plan to order a few more. Oh, just don't forget to disconnect the cable to activate the battery. The fan will not run on battery if the end of the cord is connected to the fan.
