Could be great but this is the worst fan I have ever bought.

if I can't connect to the network. in, but I'm in real heat. I bought three of these fans with USB connection for battery operation at work. All three failed. One broke after about an hour of use. The other failed after about 20 hours of use. I suspect the third one failed at the factory as it never worked here. All three failed at the USB level as all three were still plugged into a 110V outlet. Too bad because it would have been a better portable USB fan if the manufacturers had built one…

Heat up a hot glue gun to turn it into a useful fan.

Drops easily onto almost any surface, even hard flat surfaces if the wind is blowing that day or you bump into the surface as you walk by. Yes, it's 6 D batteries that the design relies on to keep it upright under weight. Back side and take out the batteries, on top of the cover you just removed, put dots of hot glue in each corner of one end and tape in a safe place on the bottom to hold it in place. I also have two dots on the bottom (the other end will not slide on glass and laminate…

Perfect for hurricanes/storm power outages!

This fan is perfect for our Florida hurricane season as well as all of our other frequent storms. The fan is housed in a robust plastic housing with a long cable. Best of all, it's battery operated and lasted over two days! If necessary, we also bring it to the porch. It's compact enough and quiet enough to work well in the bedroom. We plan to order a few more. Oh, just don't forget to disconnect the cable to activate the battery. The fan will not run on battery if the end of the cord is…

Could be great but this is the worst fan I have ever bought.

I've bought about a dozen USB powered portable batteries and fans to take with me to various work places where I can't connect but I'm very hot. Camping in a tent or need a hotel? Buy it!

We bought two of these fans for our large canvas camping tent on the Niobrara River. The fans worked great, were quiet, but made just enough "white noise" to help sleep. (However, the raccoons around our coolers outside of our tent didn't make sleeping any easier, ha!) The batteries lasted two full nights right in the tent, plus two nights in the cabin. Batteries never die. For the cabin and motels I planned on plugging them in, but in the end I just flipped the switch, used the batteries, and…
