Great teether best for firm feeding

I love the idea of this spoon as I'm afraid my active 8 month old son will poke his eye out with a fork which he hasn't. I think it's not very convenient for a cutlery, because you can't pick anything up with a fork, and it's uncomfortable for him to eat with a spoon (it's hard for him to get food that's in the spoon). Overall I think it works best as a teether.
