Just unbelievable!

I did a lot of research on this make and model before purchasing. Espresso with the convenience of a pod system sounded almost too good to be true. Obviously, K-Cup machines are extremely comfortable, but compromises really do matter. I'm not going to bore everyone with how I do K cups better, but in short, you're missing out on the convenience. I spent many hours studying the selection. The first choice was between Original Line and Vertuo. While Vertuo's additional features and technology were attractive, the fact is that you can't try other brands. After trying the Original Line capsules, being a Nespresso prisoner wouldn't be so bad, but there are excellent alternative brands to the Original Line that not only taste great but are cheaper too. I really prefer the opportunity to try other brands, so I went with the Original Line. However, having tried Nespresso's Original Line capsules, I don't rule out adding Vertuo later. You may be intrigued, but they offer great tasting options. This is an Innesia model, although they don't mention it on the list. My main reason for choosing this particular model was the fold out drip tray which was a great solution. The smaller original limits your cup size unless you remove the entire drip tray while flipping it over and out of the way. The smaller area that catches used pods was negligible as my Keurig requires me to throw out every pod. That catches 5 to 7 empty pods and that's fine. Even the smaller water tank didn't make much of a difference as adding fresh water is better than using standing water. If you need a larger capsule catcher and container, choose Citiz or Plus, Original Line. Along with the machine that comes with the samples, I ordered a bag of Nespresso for 50 capsules. I wanted to try them before trying other capsule brands. I was very surprised by the quality of the espresso. I don't consider myself a "coffee snob" but I do know the difference between traditionally brewed espresso, both genuine from a coffee shop, and homemade from a real espresso pot on the stovetop or a home espresso machine. Is it just as good? It's a tricky one, but the convenience isn't worth the quality you're sacrificing on K-Cups. It is very close and only the espresso, ristretto and lungo are exceptional. Once you decide to add something like milk, flavored syrup, or even a sweetener, any difference will completely disappear. In summary, I'm glad I took the time to make a decision and if you have any doubts about the Nespresso models, please skip them. . These machines are truly excellent, and the convenience really outweighs any cons. A highly recommended machine, I only wish I had tried it sooner. Enjoy!
