I am a bag snob and have bought several different "beach style" bags before settling on this one. Others have claimed they're waterproof, but as soon as I touched them, I realized they weren't. The fabric on this is a nice smooth canvas - the bag is well built and feels sturdy. It stands alone but can be folded for easy storage. We fit a handful of pools, diapers, a change of clothes for the baby, 3 beach towels, snacks, a water bottle, keys and a large wallet with a spare! We spent every day at the pool for a week and my adorable niece pumped him through the kids pool several times. To my delight, the contents were completely dry!
