I bought 3 different brands. I was surprised that the cheapest brand, Hanes, is anti-pilling, comfortable and looks good on my son. I will order more. Size 6-8 is perfect for my almost 7 year old son who is short for his age. Size 6-8 is more like a size 6. UPDATE: After giving it a 5 star rating, I bought 4 more pairs in different colors. Although the elasticity was perfect in the very first pair, the second pair could also be called an open bottom/open leg as it has no elasticity. The leg opening is 1.5-2 inches larger than the first navy sweatpants I received. As soon as the elastic element could be shortened, switch to cheaper ways. If I wanted open leg jogging pants I would order them. Pants of the same color don't fit either. Maybe it's defective/defects that Hanes can't sell in store?!? These sweatpants are no longer suitable for a small child. Such a shame!
