I have a Vionic Walker with excellent grip. I'm looking for a lighter weight white walker for walking at theme parks on various days including Florida summer as well as other times of the year. It seems to have good support. Unfortunately I'm sending it back for several reasons listed as cons. I took pictures to show what I'm talking about. I have a 9.5 walker and ordered a 9.5 in this shoe. Benefits1. Heel and tongue pods2. Padding over heel/around ankle3. The laces run through the supports to the bottom of the shoe, allowing you to tighten it snugly and providing good support for plantar fasciitis and other issues. Cons for me 1. Doesn't open fully to enter - a problem. I have ankle problems and it hurts to twist and pull my foot to put my boot on. In this respect, it is more like a water shoe. I have to put my foot in.2. The toe is not wide enough. Personally, I'm afraid of openings on the side because water gets in there. I'm not sure how they will fare during Florida's daily afternoon rain.
