Love it! I'm so glad I bought it. I can watch movies in my apartment with surround sound without disturbing my pesky neighbors. I have a good pair of on-ear headphones and they work great with this device. I watched Fury last night and actually felt the roar of the engines and the roar of the guns, like my surround sound system was on. In fact, I really thought my system was on. I took off the headphones a couple of times to make sure they were off (and they were). The extra bass makes a big difference. And the surround sound works great too. I could hear noises and voices behind me which made for a great movie experience! I play Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare on this device and I love it too! The clarity of the sound is amazing. I feel every shot and every explosion. Can't tell if surround sound works well or not as deadly combat is so busy it's hard to stop and tell which side I'm getting shot at. But I love the sound quality! Haven't tried using a headset with a mic yet, but after reading other reviewers' comments I'm sure it will work fine. I'm connecting my Xfinity and Xbox 360 cable box with a digital optical cable, surround signal. I connect to my computer with a standard 8mm headphone cable, which I believe is an analog signal. I can't tell if the device produces real "surround sound" or not. I usually use a bypass to pass the original stereo signal through as I think it sounds better when watching videos. I'll have to experiment a little more with this as I don't watch a lot of movies on my computer. I'm also not sure how PC gaming will sound with this unit. A few notes: Make sure you're using good quality over-ear headphones. I used good headphones and the sound was ok. My ears got tired quickly and the audio response wasn't as good as my larger phones. I use 808 drift headphones and they work great. Since the device needs to be plugged into an audio port, make sure you have either a long optical cable or a long 8mm extension cable. Otherwise, you'll have to sit a headphone cable length away from your TV to watch movies! I would suggest either buying a longer optical cable so you can have the device close to you to use the volume and bass controls, or use headphones with built in volume controls and buy a long 8mm extension cable to use move it across the room. In both cases, the cables run through your living room while you watch TV, but that doesn't bother me. Purchase an optical cable for each device or use an optical cable switch. I only have one optical cable and I have to keep plugging and unplugging it when changing devices. Having a few can help. Overall I am very happy with my purchase. It made a huge difference in my TV, movie and gaming experience without upsetting my picky neighbors!
