Not as good as the larger version of Strike Force. The steel is too soft

It's smaller and lighter than its big brother Strike Force, but the sparks aren't as hot. However, it's still better than many others I've tried. If you're an ultralight traveler this will work, but if you really need a starting fire to survive, grab a few extra ounces and get the Strike Force. This one just works. In fact, the problem is not in the rod. They used cheap structural steel. If you use a knife instead, you can get a much stronger spark. Good steel from Strike Force also gets a strong spark from Spark Force. They tried to save a nickel and ruined a great product.
