Over the years I've bought 5 pairs of these shoes. You usually only get 1 year from them or other shoes. This pair is built differently and is very disappointing. They're always stiff and need a break-in period, but I noticed that this pair has a longer tongue. The difference is less than half an inch and is very noticeable due to the fact that it is a hard material. So I looked at the label to see where they were made. Bingo. Another country of origin, India. I hate to admit that the 4 previous shoes made in China were better. The sole material creaks almost everywhere. I'll keep breaking them apart and see if I can handle the pressure of my tongue on my ankle. Too bad there is no consistency or even quality control in today's world.
