Review on ๐Ÿต Bamboo Matcha Tea Whisk Chasen by Happy Sales: Authentic Japanese Tool for the Perfect Matcha Experience by Amy Moore

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Like the ones in the store

My goal: My friend just got an elite matcha from Japan, but he didn't have a traditional bamboo whisk, and I didn't want to pay $15 at a local tea shop for one. What's good: As far as I can tell, it looks pretty much the same as the one in the tea shop. It comes in a nice clear plastic holder which my friend keeps it in. It looks great and fits in a traditional cup of matcha tea according to my friend. Warning: When we received the whisk, it curled up. Bamboo edges and after using them in lukewarm water for tea these bamboo stalks unfolded which I find normal but this does not allow the whisk to fully fit in the transparent cylindrical box it comes in, it is as would of jump out a bit at the top. All in all, if you want to make matcha the traditional way, this is an acceptable tool for delicate work as far as I can tell from my inexperience, but my wallet could smile.

Pros
  • Not just fit for purpose
Cons
  • There are flaws
