Good Product - Home Decor

In the early 70's I got a digital alarm clock radio for my high school graduation and my "digital" alarm clock was my favorite gift that year. This made it a lot easier to tell what time it was in the middle of the night, but it was also nice to see the numbers slowly slide out from under the retaining pin and then fold down at the right second to change the minutes. Unfortunately, after only 20 years of continuous use, the clock motor froze and that was it. By this time, fully electronic digital watches had long since conquered the market, and while functionally superior in every way, electronic watches lacked the irony and technical prowess that allowed conventional mechanical analog watches to disguise themselves as digital watches. When I stumbled across the folding watch again in the offer, I immediately ordered it out of nostalgia and because it was the only one with the movements enclosed in a case. I ordered the smaller of the two sizes and it's still quite large, about 4 inches tall and 8 inches wide. The case appears to be shiny stainless steel, and judging by the watch's significant weight, I think the numeral valves could be metal rather than the plastic of some other retro flip watches. Overall I am very satisfied with this product. It looks very nice and shows the exact time with the electronic clock in the house. The only downside is that there is no lens cover on the front of the watch, so the numbers are visible to the whole world. Dust, pollen, curious cats and small children will be a problem there.
