All right. As someone said, you need it for reliable radio handling when you're in the field. There are a lot of buttons on the top that can be accidentally pressed, and the built-in handle isn't great when you're on the go. The case should cover most of the radio for protection, especially around the speaker, bass and volume buttons, and the top of the radio. Fabric straps secure the dimmable light switch and 4th preset button. However, you can still slide through the fabric and activate them without issue. Holding on to the right side can also cause the power button to work. So use the radio blocking feature, maybe more than you want. The radio is already expensive, so they should add that $40 is almost the same as a rebranded RCA super radio. The only reason I would give this five stars is because the other products are out of stock, which is important. The Grundig 350 has a well integrated strap system and no buttons on the top. However, the manual says only alkaline batteries should be used, so I refused to replace mine. At some point I will also write a review about this radio.
