I'm not a gamer. I ordered this mouse because the clicker is quiet and I wanted to use it in meetings without disturbing others. Also on fire :-). The light can be turned off to save battery power, a separate switch from the mouse itself. Very ergonomic. The only thing I do NOT like is that the button to the left of my thumb is an easy press and takes you back to the browser, so I lost something I was working on when I accidentally pressed it.
