Bought this to wear while mowing and general outside work in my garden. I have about 5 acres to mow and we have a lot of deer flies, mosquitoes etc looking for blood meal. They bit me through the fabric of the long-sleeved t-shirts I was wearing, and as I sweated through, I felt like I was being cooked in a high-humidity environment. The fabric of this shirt is thick enough to keep bugs out and when you sweat it actually cools you down for a change. The fabric felt a bit non-breathable at first, but after a few minutes it was fine. The insect repellent it has been treated with is permethrin. After washing it 6 or 8 times, you can put it away and it will protect you from ticks, mosquitoes and mosquitoes at least.
