Review on Bikers Choice Electronic Custom Tachometer by Patrick Goodrich

Well I used it on a Yamaha vstar 1100 classic (2008 model). Installation was easy. Just mount it on your handlebars (or wherever you like), route the wires to the plastic ring covering the ignition coil, remove the seats and tank and remove the black plastic tie from the nose of the frame (the black cap, which covers the ignition), pull on the connection cables. for the passenger side coil and insert new wires as indicated, reconnect to the coil and reassemble. Took me 30 minutes total and there's no way I'm figuring it out without instructions or videos lol. Worked great the first time, was able to sync carbs in 5 minutes and had great idle control. Constantly lit, responds perfectly to the accelerator pedal. It looks like a fairly sealed unit, but I wrapped tape around the back of the unit where the cables exit (when it rains, I make sure it doesn't rain on my bike). I used Lowes wire tubing to cover all the wires ($2). Would buy again. Delivery took 5 days (delivery 3-5 days, average conditions).
