As you can see from the pictures the lights are not normal shop lights that I am used to. When they came my first thought was to send them back since they have no reflectors and are very small compared to my other shop lights as my comparison pictures show. I checked them on my Kill-a-Watt and they consume exactly 50 watts of power. Removing the diffuser I could see that it uses the flat square led's so maybe all the light is directed downwards eliminating the need for a reflector. Another thing that convinced me to keep these is the fact that with no reflectors, there will not be a problem with the lamps getting coated with dirt, spider webs, mud dabbers, bats and other afflictions that shop lights are susceptible to. So I decided to keep them. They are pretty much sealed so to clean them will just require a damp cloth run across the diffuser. I don't know if they put out as much light as the other LED shop lights do but they are pretty bright. These new fangled shop lights might be the way of the future, time will tell.
