There are no surprises here. These are standard steel hooks. The lining offers good slip resistance. Black might go well with some kitchen color schemes, but I use them in the store to hold my tools. Take your pliers and bend the hooks from a "C" shape to a more open "D" shape as they won't hold anything fragile.
