Review on Silicone Steam Release Diverter Accessory by Abdy Traini

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Might be misleading BUT.

This review applies to the Ninja Foodi 6.5 QT. At first I thought it didn't fit, but it actually needs to be a little looser to accommodate the steam valve and its handle. The bottom lip of the diverter is slightly thicker than the area between the valve and the top of the lid itself, so I wouldn't recommend fitting it prematurely as it will prevent the vapor valve from closing properly. With practice very little effort and a lot of sensitivity; You can apply it when it's time to let off steam. Pay attention to the recess into which you insert the tongue. When you turn the valve you should be releasing vapor away from you and preferably towards the stove and vent like I do. Be careful not to use too much force as you do this, as this may loosen the seal and allow steam to escape onto your bare skin or face. Also, pay attention to the notch where the tongue goes in, because when you turn the valve (you can do this by holding the deflector against the back of the curved area), you don't want to burn your face with steam. Again, this might sound a little flimsy, but the vapor doesn't make the diverter valve fly because the lip is under the lip of the valve, successfully holding it in place. , there is a small but decent amount of water that tends to run out of the baffle hole and pool at the bottom. This can be alleviated by twisting a small pole cloth and placing it in front of the valve area.
