Review on ๐Ÿ“บ Dish Network 3.4 IR TV1 Remote Control: Enhanced TV Control at Your Fingertips! by Janet Hernandez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Same remote controls as originals.

I ordered two remote controls, one for me and one for my parents. These are the exact same remotes as the ones that came with the original receivers. I have a Samsung TV, it was very easy to program my remote control to the receiver and TV, I didn't even need codes, I did an automatic search for the code from the remote control. It was easy. It wasn't easy to connect another remote control to my parents' receiver and TV. After several attempts, I got a remote control that I could pair with the receiver. I had to deal with multiple black/blue screens but I got this working. With the satellite button you can change the program and call up the guide/channel menu. However, I could not connect the remote control to the TV. You have a Vizio Smart TV. I have tried everything to connect the remote control to the TV. I ran an automated code lookup and manually entered every Vizio/Dish Network code I could find online. Nothing worked. You have to manually change the volume and turn the TV on and off. I'm not sure if this is a problem with the remote or not, but the original remote, which had worn out and stopped working, matched the TV and receiver perfectly. So far, they're just happy to be able to switch channels. And me too.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Interchangeable
