If you're looking for a quality mini hour meter/tachometer, this isn't it. This is a cheap POS. If you want quality, get one of the Tiny Tach models for over $50. However, this device really works. Just don't expose it to hot or humid conditions. When it gets hot, all segments of the display go black and you cannot see the data. It will still work, you just won't see it. This condition disappears on cooling. When wet (light splashes), condensation will form inside the screen. Condensation will come out when removing from humid environments. I seriously doubt this device has any real water resistance. I would not consider this unit splash or rain proof. As long as it works However, I would not buy these again.
