5 stars for the rainbow umbrella. 3 stars for the blue umbrella. Easy opening and closing with a button on the handle. I wanted the umbrella to be easy to open and close so my daughters wouldn't be able to use it. The close button closes the dome. After that, you still have to push it against the handle until it clicks. This part requires a bit of strength and is too hard for my 7 year old but certainly fit my 10 year old. I would recommend the rainbow fabric - the fabric is thin and velcro tightens. We also bought BLUE and do NOT recommend it. For some reason the fabric was thick and stiff making it difficult to close once opened.
