I'd like to start this review by mentioning that my bathtub needs serious help - the previous homeowners did an awful, semi-finished (seriously, only half the bathtub was finished) do-it-yourself renovation job. I'm convinced they just used leftover house paint on the tub. However, I didn't get the bathmat to really stick to the crappy bathroom floor because it's so chunky and uneven in many places, but because it's a bit smaller than the others I've bought (which surprised me, but not should have been because I didn't pay much attention to the measurements), the suction cups on this rug only sit on the smoothest parts of the tub. the bottom - meaning it ACTUALLY sticks and appears really secure. The rug is not as comfortable as my previous bath rug and it smelled (still smells 3 days later) awful. I left the rug outside for 2 days and if it still stinks I throw it in the washing machine. I have read all the reviews about lifting the rug to let it dry, I have done it and know I will continue this practice but I doubt my husband will continue this in a week or so.
