Before purchasing this unit I read the specs carefully. They claimed that the unit contained extensive filtering so that the output was "clean" DC without excessive AC noise. And the output cord on the unit does contain a rudimentary common-mode ferrite filter. However, the output is EXTREMELY NOISY. My application was powering a 12V DC powered HF radio receiver. The radio was completely useless when running from this power supply - nothing but high-amplitude noise.I'm sure that this unit will work just fine when powering equipment that is not sensitive to noise, such as LED lighting or electro-mechanical devices. But it should NOT be advertised for use with electronic equipment.
