I have a 2g DSM and need a shift knob as a replacement. The thread size is perfect, the weight is perfect, but the knob is much smaller than the OEM leaving about two inches of derailleur shaft after installation. I could probably replace the case to fix this, but all I needed was a new stylus. Pro tip: If you have a leather-wrapped shift knob and the leather starts to rot, you can cut it off and the base model's plastic knob will be underneath.
