I was about to buy a much cheaper air conditioner when I realized nine sockets wouldn't be enough. At 13 total it was spot on (at least for me). Since my house hasn't been hit by a major surge or lightning strike since then, it's impossible to tell how well Furman is protecting my gear. What is very striking, however, is the complete absence of background noise or noise, the device I bought was "used" from a third-party manufacturer via Revain. It came in its original packaging, complete with user manual and warranty card, and it was flawless. Suppose it was a soil sample.
