Note: This is a provisional rating after receipt! I settled on this shoulder bag after purchasing it and then returned a very similar bag from NEWHEY (their bag is 15.6 inches and has the same basic design similar to what they are compared to in the photos). The main reason I sent this bag back to Newhey was that its magnetic buttons opened easily when I took it by the handle under normal loads. It also lacked any pocket that could be accessed without opening the entire bag. This shoulder bag from Manificent eliminates both of those shortcomings - instead of magnetic buttons, it uses inserts with spring buckles - it's easy to open or close quickly, but it won't open under normal weight. In addition, this bag has a zipped pocket on the back of the bag, suitable for any (thin) items or small documents that you need quick access to. (Note: The outside back pocket won't fit a flat 8.5" x 11" document or letter binder—it's not deep or wide enough for that—but it will easily fit a letter-size sheet of paper folded in half, a small Magazine, a mouse pad, etc e) The padding of the laptop compartment is good, a 15" laptop fits in easily. There is another zippered pocket (approx. 7 x 6 inches) in the main compartment on the front, which is easier to access than the similar one Zippered pocket on Newhey which was behind your laptop.Large space in the main compartment on the other side.Padded laptop divider for books, file folders, tablet, accessories, travel gear or even a change of clothes for a day trip out of winter similar bags where you are good on arrival but fall apart after a few months of use.I will come back and update this if I run into proble in the next 60 days or so me bump. If you are considering a similar Newhey bag or any other similar bag in this price range, buy this one!
