Got this for my 3 month old as directed by my doctor. A few weeks ago she started teething and we were tearing our hair out because we didn't know what to do with her at such a young age. All other teething gels are for much older babies so it was difficult to find anything that could help her. This teething gel has a very strong chemical smell and the baby doesn't like the taste but it calms him down. However, it doesn't last as long as Tylenol for children. After a while she got upset and worried again and we had to reapply. The real jewel in this set is the teething ring! Soft and easy to pick up and hold, it is easy to put in the mouth and chew on any part of it. I had trouble finding something to hold herself as she is so small most typical teethers are heavier for her but she loves it! The gel works great but this teether is worth it. Update: baby is 16 months old and we have tried other natural teething gels and this is still my favorite. It's a lot cheaper than similar brands on the market and lasted me a year before I had to buy more. She still chews on that teether regularly!
