My critters are still getting used to the idea of a den, but even when they're not in the "snuggle den" they love to be on top - there's plenty of filling and it makes a great bed for animals, no matter how they want to use it. Haven't washed it yet but looks like it will hold up to washing. I am not sure if the given size is correct. I bought the size listed for 15-25 lb creatures. I have a 9 lb cat and a 20 lb dog. The size is good for a cat but too small for a dog. He fits in but seems uncomfortable because it's so snug. (Again, he's happy to be at the top so it's not a huge loss.) I'd recommend doing a review, especially if you're buying a dog.
