This was the correct part for my 2001 Honda Accord VTEC F23A1 4 Cylinder Engine. It came with a white plastic protective sleeve inside the connector. The instructions don't mention this. I had to remove the white plastic cover with needle nose pliers before the plug could be inserted into the socket. I also had to remove the old neoprene gasket that was left in the socket when I unplugged the old plug. A bit of trial and error, but worth it. Pulling and reinserting the 7.5Amp "Clock Back Up" fuse on the passenger side resets the CEL but also the clock so I had to reset the time.
