Disclaimer I have not used this product before. After reading the reviews I decided on this power supply. The first thing I did upon arrival was compare it to my OEM power supply which is currently not working. The form factor is as close to a match as you'd expect, almost indistinguishable. The big difference is that the vents on the OEM are clearly vents, on this product they are for show only. The side panels and DC output don't go all the way through the case and there are usable vents on the AC input side. So I removed the rubber feet and opened the case. There's a fan, again for that single vent, which apparently doubles as the intake/exhaust. In addition, there is adhesive that holds the various connectors in place. This seems consistent with why some have given poor reviews as it either seems to be for optimal conditions or needs to be replaced every 6 months. Also, its manual had warnings about a high nose due to light stress. Basically, this device can't tell if the Xbox is in use or not, so it's a good idea to unplug it when not in use. This removes some handy Xbox features. I think it's better than buying a new Xbox, but think about what you're getting. If I remember, I'll update after getting some benefit from it.
