I originally gave this cat house 3 stars but am now updating it to 4 as it has been a while since the injury when assembling. It's actually not difficult to put together (although I have to admit the instructions don't offer any help). The problem is that you have to stretch the springs to hang the house. This is a workout! Took me about 40 minutes to pick this thing up. Another problem is that the wood is not treated and some areas are still rough (prone to splinters). This house really has a lot of good qualities. It feels very strong and reliable (thanks to the industrial springs that were so difficult to attach). The feathers are covered with fabric to keep your pet out of reach. The interior of the house is very soft and has a small hole for your pet to put their head through. Also, the house hangs low enough for small animals, not just cats.
